ABOUT OUR BIO PRODUCTS

Renewable & Compostable

As technologies have evolved considerably in the last decade and there is an urgent need to provide cost-effective alternatives. The cost of manufacturing products from sustainable sources (like natural fiber) have gone down compared to petroleum-based conventional materials.

  • The products are made from Bagasse (Sugar Cane fiber) are microwave, and freezer friendly, biodegradable, and compostable.
  • Sugarcane fiber (also known as Bagasse) is sourced and reclaimed from sugar factories, and remake into sugarcane pulps and final products.
  • Making tableware out of this residual sugar cane fiber decreases air pollution and adds value to the material (which was being incinerated as farm waste).
  • The energy consumption is manufacturing these products is less than their Styrofoam and Plastic counterparts.

These efforts contribute to a substantial reduction in waste, energy and water consumption, as nature is our main supplier.

OUR PRODUCTS DO NOT LEACH ANY HARMFUL CARCINOGENIC CHEMICALS

UNLIKE STYROFOAM AND PLASTIC FOOD CONTAINERS WHICH LEACH STYRENE AND BPA.

The Ugly Truth

The United Nations Environment Program estimated in 2006 that every square mile of ocean hosts 46,000 pieces of floating plastic. That was almost a decade ago, today there are huge plastic islands floating in the pacific ocean and its high time, we may not even get a chance to survive if we don’t react now. Polystyrene foam presents unique management issues because of its lightweight nature, floatability, and likelihood to be blown from disposal sites even when disposed of properly.

The fact that styrene can adversely affect humans in a number of ways raises serious public health and safety questions regarding its build-up in human tissue.

While the technology does exist in to recycle polystyrene, the market for recycling is small and shrinking. Containers that have been used for food storage create a massive issue for recyclers. Most of the recyclable waste in the United States is sent off into shipments to countries like China for being sorted and recycled. With the implementation of ‘GREEN FENCE’ by China, recyclable waste has become a major concern in the United States.

In fact, the ugly truth is that most of the household and commercial recyclable waste we are gathering today is either piling up in the shipping warehouses or just ending up in landfills.
